Collections
Library collections include materials from the study fields at the Lapland University of Applied Sciences and Lapland University. Collections are available either printed or electronic format. You can search our collections in LUC-Finna -search portal.
Printed books and periodicals are available for all library visitors. To borrow printed materials you will need to apply for a library card. You will find instructions from our services page Loan services.
Staff and students of the Lapland University of Applied Sciences and Lapland University can use electronic collections outside campus network. Visitors are able to use electronic collections from the library computers. There are some differences in electronic collections licenced to Lapland University of Applied Sciences and Lapland University.

Students, teachers, researchers and staff members of Lapland University of Applied Sciences and Lapland University can use electronic collections both on and off campus.
Use university username and password to login to the electronic collections.
Visitors can use electronic collections at the library computers.
Most electronic books, journals and databases can be accessed in LUC-Finna.
Make a search in LUC-Finna using book or journal title, article title, author name or database name.
Log in using university username and password.
Electronic collections that are listed in LUC-Finna database list. These do not appear in search results: standards, construction databases, legislation, statistics and health care databases Terveysportti and Oppiportti. More information about the electronic collections in library guides.
Open LUC-Finna and log in using your university username and password.
After you have logged in, the electronic collections open in LUC-Finna or Library guides.
Here are some things you can try:
Make sure you are in LUC-Finna. Do not use national Finna.fi service.
Some electronic collections are licenced only to one organication. Lapland University of Applied Sciences and Lapland University have access to some different collections.
Try open the database from the LUC-Finna database list. At the top menu go to Search functions -> Browse for databases
Empty browser search history and cookies.
