We are open to all

Our library supports the learning, teaching and research of Lapland University of Applied Sciences and the University of Lapland. We support all information seekers – we are a library open to everyone.

We offer a wide range of books, journals and other information materials both in print and online. You have access to Lapland’s largest collection of science, art and professional literature. Read more about the collections on the Collections page.

We have four library units in three different cities. The library has comfortable facilities for studying and working. We develop the premises by listening to the needs of our customers. For more detailed information, see the Facilities and equipment page.

We serve customers on campus and online. We offer help in information retrieval and the use of services. Additionally, we promote information literacy from the beginning of studies to graduation and support both research and publishing activities in our universities. Read more on the Services page.

Supporting continuous learning

We promote responsibility and sustainable development in our operations. We also take this into account in our acquisitions. We develop sorting and recycle removed materials, and in addition, we present literature related to sustainable development.

We are constantly developing our services and value customer feedback. We collect feedback through user surveys and feedback channels.
